No, there is no minimum deposit to open an Online Savings Account. However, if you fail to fund your account within 60 days of account opening, we may close your account. 

Interest is compounded daily and credited monthly to your account. Interest is calculated using the daily balance method. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal and interest that has accrued in the Account each day. This means that the interest from your Account is calculated every day on a 365-day year/ 366-day for leap years.

We make it easy to transfer funds in and out of your account. There are four simple ways to transfer your money – you can link an external account to make deposits and withdrawals by ACH transfers, you can wire money domestically to and from an external personal account or you can mail in a check. For transfers, you also have the ability to make a direct deposit. As always with a Marcus Online Savings Account, Marcus doesn’t charge fees with any of these options. However, your external bank or third party may charge you a fee.
