Your Cash Bonus will total 0.25% of your Online Savings Account’s average daily balance (determined monthly) over a three-month period. It will be paid in installments at the end of each month. See full terms below for details.

For existing customers, you’ll start earning your bonus on your Online Savings Account(s) within 1 business day after your friend opens their Online Savings Account or CD.

If you’re a new customer who opens an Online Savings Account under the Marcus Referred program prior to 9:30 pm ET, you’ll start earning the bonus the same day. For accounts opened after 9:30pm ET, you’ll start earning the bonus the next day.

Share your unique referral link to extend your bonus—you can make up to 5 successful referrals per calendar year! For every friend you refer, you’ll earn a Cash Bonus for another 3 months. We’ll apply multiple bonuses to your account consecutively. That means you’ll start earning each new bonus the day after your previous bonus expires.

You can review your history in the Marcus Referral Center to see how many new customers have used your unique link to open Online Savings Accounts or CDs and how many Cash Bonuses you’ve earned.

Yes, a bonus earned under this referral program may be combined with other non-referral promotional offers available to Marcus customers.

You can see the status of your earned Cash Bonuses in the Marcus Referral Center. The ‘Referrals History’ section will show when your Cash Bonuses were earned, when they’ll be applied to your Online Savings Account(s), and when they’ll expire. To access the Marcus Referral Center, log in and select “Refer a Friend” in the menu at the upper right corner of any page.

No. Your Cash Bonus is not impacted if your friend closes their account.  

If you open additional Online Savings Accounts while you’re already earning a Cash Bonus, we’ll apply the Cash Bonus to your new Online Savings Accounts, too. 

An existing customer is any individual who currently has an active Marcus Online Savings Account or CD.

As an existing customer, you must already own at least one Online Savings Account and then successfully refer a new customer using your unique referral link. You’ll start earning the Cash Bonus when the friend you refer uses your unique referral link and opens an Online Savings Account or CD. Note: Adding a new joint account owner to your existing Online Savings Account(s) does not count toward a bonus. 

Existing customers can find their referral link in the Marcus Referral Center. Log in and select “Refer a Friend” in the menu at the upper right corner of any page.

A new customer is any individual who has not had a Marcus Online Savings Account or CD in the last 12 months.

If you have not had a Marcus Online Savings Account or CD in the last 12 months, you can earn a bonus when you use an existing customer’s unique referral link to open a new Online Savings Account.

When you receive a Marcus Referred Bonus, it’s applied to all Online Savings Accounts where you are an account owner, including joint accounts.

The joint account’s bonus expiration date will match the latest expiration date of any bonuses being earned by joint owners on their other accounts. In other words, the joint account will get the latest expiration date available.
